VRS eezy.nrw is a user-friendly application designed to facilitate travel by bus and train within North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW). Upon entering the vehicle, users simply swipe right to validate their ticket for public transport, and upon reaching their destination, they swipe again to check out. The fare is calculated based on the shortest distance between the boarding and alighting stops, irrespective of the number of stops made or modes of transport utilized, including regional trains, S-Bahn, U-Bahn, buses, and trams.

The process involves a few straightforward steps:

1. Register once in the app before your first journey. If you already have an account with VRS, KVB, REVG, RVK, or Wupsi applications, you can access the VRS eezy.NRW app using your existing credentials.
2. Before boarding, check in by swiping the arrow button to the right. The app actively tracks your location in the background to determine your travel route.
3. In case of a fare inspection, clicking "Ticket anzeigen" will display your digital ticket, which includes a scannable barcode.
4. Upon arrival at your destination, swipe right again to check out. The travel cost will be displayed, and payment can be conveniently made via SEPA direct debit, credit card, or PayPal.
